A Brief History
In 1853, the Cameron family settled in Sonoma County and began farming. For more than 100 years the family has farmed the land. Crops included hops, prunes and apples. Grapes have been the primary crop since the early 1960′s.
In 1962, Al and Bev Cameron started a small trucking operation in the heart of the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. They were dedicated to serving the needs of local agriculture and, by 1985, expanded the business to include the sale of vineyard trellising and ranch fencing supplies.
Over the years, Harmony Farm Supply & Nursery had maintained a harmonious relationship with Cameron and Cameron Vineyard Supply. The two businesses were complimentary and consistently referred customers to each other, so in 2017, when the Camerons were retiring and liquidating their business, Harmony decided to continue running it. As Harmony Farm Supply owner Rick Williams explains, “Cameron & Cameron Vineyard Supplies was such a part of Sonoma County’s agricultural legacy. I could not let it go away.” It was the perfect, natural addition to Harmony Farm Supply – like adding a member to team.
With the goal of revitalizing and enhancing it so that it could be of top service to local farmers and ranchers and to establish the same spirit that embodies Harmony Farm Supply & Nursery, the business was re-dubbed Harmony Ag Supply.
As such, the mission continues: To reinvigorate old-school farming and community values through a commitment to excellence in service, knowledge, and products that foster best land stewardship practices.
